Bachchan made his film debut in 1969 as a voice narrator in Mrinal Sen's National Award winning film Bhuvan Shome. He made his acting debut in 1969 in the film Saat Hindustani as one of the seven hindustanis. He won a national award for best debutant actor for the movie.

Hrithik Roshan (born 10 January 1974) is son of Rakesh Roshan.



He, as a child,  appeared in the films Aasha (1980), Aapke Deewane (1980), and Bhagwan Dada (1986).

Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, a love story directed by his father, in which he starred opposite newcomer Amisha Patel was an exceptional success in the year 2000, winning eight Filmfare awards, two for Hrithik for Best Debut and Best Actor. Fiza with Karishma Kapoor and Mission Kashmir with Preity Zinta followed.

In 2001,  Yaadein with Jackie Shroff and Kareena Kapoor was released. Karan Johar’s family drama, the star studded Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham also released in 2001 was a big hit.

In 2002, Aap Mujhe Acche Lage, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum, and Mujhse Dosti Karoge were below average performers at box office.

2003 Hrithik's film Koi Mil Gaya with Preity Zinta is a super hit. He bagged the Filmfare Best Actor Award as well as the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Performance.

In 2004, Lakshya did moderately well. In 2006, Krrish, the sequel to Koi Mil Gaya was made with Priyanka Chopra as heroine. The movie was a hit and a top earner. Dhoom 2, the sequel to Dhoom in which he played the negative role won for him another Filmfare Best Actor Award.

In 2008, in   Jodhaa Akbar,  his role was that of  Emperor Akbar.

2009 releases were Kites and  Luck by Chance.

His subsequent releases are  Guzaarish with Aishwarya Rai, Agneepath (2012) and super hit Krrissh 3.

Film Bang Bang with Katrina Kaif will release on 2 October 2014.

Deepika Padukone - Biography and Filmography

Deepika Padukone was born on 5 January 1986 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Her father, Prakash Padukone, is a former badminton player of international repute.The family moved back to Bangalore, when Deepika  was a year old. She was educated at Bangalore.

Deepika started training for  badminton,  Padukone  pursued a career in badminton throughout her school years, and played the sport in national level championships. Padukone also worked as a child model and had some advertising campaigns at the age of eight.  In the tenth grade, she changed focus and decided to become a fashion model.and informed her father who agreed to her change of focus. In 2004, she began a full-time work  as a model.

Padukone gained recognition with a television commercial for the soap Liril, and modelled for various other brands and products. In 2005, she made her ramp debut at the Lakme Fashion Week for designer Suneet Varma, and won the "Model of the Year" award at the Kingfisher Fashion Awards. Padukone's fame increased when she appeared in a highly popular print campaign for the 2006 Kingfisher Calendar; At the age of 21, Padukone relocated to Mumbai. She appeared in the music video for Himesh Reshammiya's song "Naam Hai Tera."




Padukone made her film debut with Aishwarya, a Kannada film directed by Indrajit Lankesh. It was a remake of the Telugu film Manmadhudu, and she was cast in the titular role opposite the actor Upendra. The film was  a major commercial success.

Farah Khan had cast Deepika Padukone for the reincarnation melodrama Om Shanti Om (2007). Deepika featured in dual roles—Shantipriya, a leading actress of the 1970s, and later as Sandy, an aspiring actress and hero of the film was Sharukh Khan.  Om Shanti Om was a commercial success, and emerged as the highest grossing film of the year, with a global revenue of INR 1.49 billion.    Padukone was awarded the Best Female Debut Award and received her first nomination in the Best Actress category.

 She followed this success with the role of Gayatri, a feisty student in Australia who moonlights as a cab driver in Yash Raj Films' romantic comedy Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008). The film was a financial success,

Padukone's first release of 2009 came alongside Akshay Kumar in the Nikhil Advani-directed kung fu comedy Chandni Chowk To China, in which she portrayed the dual roles of Indian-Chinese twin sisters Sakhi and Suzy. Produced by Warner Bros., it had one of the widest international releases ever given to an Indian film.

That same year, Padukone featured in an item number (for a song called "Love Mera Hit Hit") in the drama Billu. She then played alongside Saif Ali Khan in the romantic drama Love Aaj Kal from the writer-director Imtiaz Ali.  The film had a worldwide gross of INR1.2 billion


Padukone had five film releases in 2010. Her first role was in Vijay Lalwani's psychological thriller Karthik Calling Karthik,  Her big hit film that year was Sajid Khan's INR 1.15 billion grossing comedy film Housefull in which she featured alongside an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh, Lara Dutta, Arjun Rampal, Jiah Khan and Boman Irani.


Pradeep Sarkar's drama Lafangey Parindey (2010) saw Padukone star opposite Neil Nitin Mukesh in the role of Pinky Palkar, a blind girl determined to win a skating competition.  Her next role was opposite Imran Khan in the Danish Aslam-directed romantic comedy Break Ke Baad.

Padukone's final release of 2010 was Ashutosh Gowarikar's period film Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey opposite Abhishek Bachchan. Based on the book Do and Die by Manini Chatterjee, the film is a retelling of the 1930 Chittagong armoury raid.

Padukone began 2011 with an item number in Rohan Sippy's Dum Maaro Dum. The song was a remixed version of the iconic song "Dum Maro Dum," from the 1971 film Hare Rama Hare Krishna, which featured Zeenat Aman. Her next film was Prakash Jha's socio-political drama Aarakshan, co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Manoj Bajpayee and Prateik Babbar, which dealt with the political issue of caste-based reservations in India. Her final appearance that year was in Rohit Dhawan's comedy-drama Desi Boyz alongside Akshay Kumar, John Abraham and Chitrangada Singh.

Cocktail tells the story of a software engineer (played by Saif Ali Khan) and his relationship with two temperamentally different women—an impulsive party girl (Veronica, played by Padukone) and a submissive girl next door (Meera, played by Diana Penty).  Cocktail earned Padukone Best Actress nominations at several award ceremonies, including Filmfare, Screen, and IIFA. The film proved a box office hit as well.

In 2013, Padukone had number of top-grossing productions of the year. She collaborated with Saif Ali Khan for the fourth time (alongside John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, Ameesha Patel, and Anil Kapoor) in Abbas-Mustan's Race 2, an ensemble action thriller that served as a sequel to the 2008 film Race. The film had a total collection of INR 1.62 billion and a commercial success.


Ayan Mukerji's romantic comedy Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani was Padukone's next film release.  The film was a major success with a worldwide revenue of INR3.02 billion  Her next film was Chennai Express.  Chennai Express became  Padukone's second consecutive release to earn over INR 3 billion  in worldwide ticket sales.

Padukone next played opposite Ranveer Singh in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, an adaptation of the Shakespearean tragedy of Romeo and Juliet from director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.  The film earned INR 2.02 billion worldwide, making it Padukone's fourth consecutive box office hit of the year.Her performances in Chennai Express and Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela won her several awards, including the Screen Award for Best Actress for both films and the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for the latter.

In 2014, Padukone acted  opposite Rajinikanth in the Tamil film Kochadaiiyaan. In Homi Adajania's widely praised satire Finding Fanny, Padukone played a young widow who takes a road trip with her friends (played by Arjun Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia and Pankaj Kapur) in search of a woman named Fanny.The film was screened at the 19th Busan International Film Festival. ; Farah Khan's  Happy New Year paired Padukone and  Shah Rukh Khan for the third time.  The film earned over INR1.75 billion in India.  As of December 2014, Padukone is working in number of films which will be released in 2015.

Vidya Balan - Biography, Hindi Films and Videos Information



Vidya Balan was born on 1 January 1978 in Poothamkurussy, Puthur, a town in the Palakkad District of Kerala, to P. R. Balan,  and Saraswathy Balan,


In 2005 Vidya made her Hindi film debut with Parineeta. The film, an adaptation of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's novel of the same name. It was made in Hindi earlier also. Parineeta's role fetched Vidya a Best Female Debut award and a nomination for Best Actress at the annual Filmfare Awards ceremony. In 2006,   Vidya appeared opposite Sanjay Dutt in Rajkumar Hirani's comedy film Lage Raho Munna Bhai, which was a blockbuster with earnings of INR 1.19 billion.

In 2007 Vidya played  a supporting role in Mani Ratnam's semi-biographical drama Guru as a woman suffering from multiple sclerosis. Vidya also had  a supporting role in Vidhu Vinod Chopra's suspense thriller Eklavya: The Royal Guard.  She acted as Isha Sahni, a single mother, in Sajid Khan's Heyy Babyy, alongside co-stars Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh, and Fardeen Khan. The comedy film was a box-office success. In 2007, Vidya had a lead role in psychological thriller Bhool Bhulaiyaa, as Avani Chaturvedi a woman suffering from dissociative identity disorder. The film had Akshay Kumar, and Ameesha Patel also and it  was a commercial success with a worldwide revenue of over Rupees 83 crore.

In 2008's social film Halla Bol, Vidya played a supporting role alongside Ajay Devgn and Pankaj Kapur. Her next film in the year was Kismat Konnection.

In 2009 Vidya played the role of an unwed gynaecologist struggling with her 12-year-old son's progeria syndrome, in the R. Balki-directed  Paa. Amitabh Bachchan played the role of Vidya's son and Abhishek Bachchan played the titular character.  Her portrayal in the film won  her several awards, including a Filmfare Award for Best Actress and a Screen Award for Best Actress.

Vidya's   Ishqiya (2010)  earned her  a Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress, a second consecutive Best Actress award at Screen and a nomination for Best Actress at Filmfare.[54]



Raj Kumar Gupta's semi-biographical thriller No One Killed Jessica with Rani Mukerji was Vidya's first release of 2011. The film, based on the Jessica Lal murder case, had earnings of INR490 million and was  a commercial success despite the absence of a male lead.

Vidya's appeared in Ekta Kapoor's production The Dirty Picture, a biopic based on the life and death of the controversial Indian actress Silk Smitha. The film was eventually declared a blockbuster, earning Rupees 114 crore.  Vidya got  a second Filmfare Award, a third consecutive Screen Award, and a National Film Award for Best Actress.

For her next feature film, Vidya starred as Vidya Bagchi, a pregnant woman in search of her missing husband in Sujoy Ghosh's Kahaani (2012).  Kahaani had revenues of over INR 104 crore. Vidya won a fourth consecutive Best Actress Award at Screen and a third Best Actress Award at Filmfare.


Vidya starred opposite Emraan Hashmi as a loud and boisterous Punjabi woman in Ghanchakkar, a comic-thriller from director Raj Kumar Gupta.The romantic comedy Shaadi Ke Side Effects was Vidya's first film release of 2014.  Her second film release that year was the comedy-drama Bobby Jasoos in which she played the  role of a woman who aspires to be a detective.

Sonali Bendre (born January 1, 1975) acted in various Hindi,  Telugu, Marathi, Tamil and Kannada films.

 She has been the brand ambassador for Pril soap, Surya bulbs and tubes, Omega watches, Dr. Morepen, Dabur, Vi-John Group etc. in Maharashtra and Kalyana Kanchi in Andhra Pradesh.

Bendre started out as a model before being selected for the "Star Dust Talent Search". She was invited to Mumbai and received training from a variety of top actors and performers of the Indian film industry.

Her first role was in Aag (1994) opposite Govinda.
